  hi. I have been given the task to transform an already existing blog to a proper website with different layout and aditional features and without the ‘.wordpress’ part in the url. the owner already invited me to do the admin work.

  What’s the url of the site you’re working on?

  To remove the ‘.wordpress’ part of the url, you need to upgrade to a paid plan. You can read about these here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/plan-features/
