how to get started – transfer existing site to wordpress

Hello- I just signed up! I am looking to quickly transfer content from my existing site & pretty it up along the way. A friend that does websites but can’t commit due to a new job suggested I try

“using a template that is already mobile, social media, and seo friendly. I should also consider switching over to WordPress from homestead.
I own a spa & this week is Mother’s day. No pressure.. I used duda mobile to make my existing site mobile friendly however their support stinks & I paid for months without it being functional as I expected it was. No accountability, they claim because of my google analytics it was never fully mobile friendly. Now that google does not recognize sites not mobile friendly I need to get it going asap.
thanks for pointing me in the right direction of a tutorial. I see lots on blogs, but I can do the blog later.

    Hello there,

You can import content from many blogging platforms to your new WordPress.com site. The steps to do that can be found here:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/import/

You mention that you own a spa. You should be able to find a theme that suits your business here:
    https://wordpress.com/themes

Also, since you are newer to WordPress.com, you’ll find the following guide very helpful”
    http://learn.wordpress.com

It will step you through the process of setting up your WordPress.com site.

Give those instructions a read, and if you have any questions at all, please let me know!
