How to get the ”read more” link

I noticed that some post are only shown a little because they have a read more page. What I want to know is, how do you get it in your post.
At first I thought that I could just create a link to the post in a new screen. But that wouldn’t make my post appear shorter.Could some one please help me? I think ”read more” could be really usefull, people get interested because they can’t read the whole post and they also get to see some other posts without a lot of scrolling.

It’s on your new post tool bar, to the left of spellcheck tab. Just add it like you would a picture into your blog.

Right next to the “unlink button” on the right there is a button with a text box with a line through it. Just click it where u want the read more to go and ur set
