how to get the right blog address

    So my main blog is on blogger and my url on that is rosemelodies. However on here i couldn’t get that url as it was taken, so i checked the blog that it was taken by and there is not content on that blog whatsoever. It is clearly not being used, but i’m going to need that url. I can’t afford to buy my own domain but i’d really like rosemelodies.wordpress.com to be my blog url, so that it’s like my blogger blog. I was going to write to customer support but they don’t offer it for those with the ‘free service’.. :(

    Do not waste your time contacting Staff please as the exercise will be futile. There is no application for an unused blog URL process. That’s because there is no expiration date on .wordpress.com blogs unused, reserved or otherwise.

    If and only if, you can make contact on your own with the owner of an unused blog via submitting a contact form on the site or commenting on a post on the site, then providing the site owner is agreeable to it there is a means of a consenting blog owner to transfer the blog to another username account. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account

    In the case that there is no contact information or you do not get a response to a contact form submission or to a comment on the site, Staff will not breach the privacy policy and provide you with an email address.
