How to get theme files after purchase from WordPress.com account?

  Hello,

  I’m trying to start development on a friend’s site and she wants a particular theme. She purchased the theme straight from the WordPress.com dashboard (not the wp-admin page). I called the hosting company (BlueHost) and they said that any themes purchased from WordPress.com would not be stored/installed on there servers. Is there any way for me to get the theme files?

  Hi,

  Theme’s purchased from WordPress.com is compatible and licensed only for use on WordPress.com sites. You cannot get the theme files for use on your Bluehost or other self-hosted WordPress.org site.

  If the theme was purchased within the last 30 days, she can still cancel the theme and receive a full refund. You can direct her to http://wordpress.com/purchases to do this.
