We don’t allow plugins on WordPress.com for security reasons. Plugins are a feature only available for self-hosted blogs provided through WordPress.org.
However, we do have some really cool widgets. Perhaps one of those might meet your needs?

If you have to have plugins, then you will have to self-host a blog at a third-party web host such as godaddy, bluehost, etc. Figure an average monthly cost, all things considered of $10 to $25 and you will have to do all installations, all upgrades, all backups and all troubleshooting. If something goes wrong, you have to figure it out and fix it.
Complete scheduled backups are extremely important. If something goes wrong you can recover from a full backup relatively painlessly and not lose much. Without one, you could end up losing a lot of work.
Tell us what you want to do though. There could be workarounds.
