How to get WordPress.COM avatars for comments on own WordPress.ORG install?

  Hi there,

  is it possible, with a special plugin or API call, to check if an email adress has a avatar picture on wordpress.com and show this at my own wordpress.org installation?

  Probably not, but you’d need to ask over at WordPress.org. You’re probably better off using OpenID or Gravatars.

  Well, i thought that wordpress.com provides an API call like get_avatar_for_email() or so. But ok, than i have to use Gravatars …
