how to give pages a category other than uncategorized

  just to start off, contrary to my user details my blog is http://www.phoenix-flash.com/wordpress. that out of the way, I’ve got a problem assigning posts in other pages categories.

  for example on my blog’s home page, the post I made was put under the category news, however on the about page, the article there is assigned to “uncategorized” and I don’t know how to change it. Could anyone help out?
