How to give up complete right over wordpress to the owner

    Hi My friend got her Word Press website created by another person. But unfortunately he made himself the main admin and added her admin rights. But now she wants him to hand over the complete website to her as it is hers rightfully and exit the page. But he is unable to do it. So she feels he is still prowling around. how does she go about this.

    Hi there,

    Is the site hosted with us on WordPress.com, or using WordPress at another hosting provider? Can you give us the site’s address?

    If the site is hosted on WordPress.com, the current owner can transfer ownership of the site to your friend, but that’s the only way. We won’t transfer ownership without the current owner’s consent under any circumstances:

    If the site is using WordPress at another host we’re not able to help, as we have no control over such a site. In that case, if your friend is an admin, she should be able to remove any other user at WP-Admin ->Users ->All users, but if the developer controls the hosting account or still has active FTP credentials they can just add themselves back that way, so in that case the best option is to work with the hosting provider directly to get this resolved.
