how to have audio in my blog

I have read all FAQ on how to have an audio player in my blog and I have read through all the forums but the trend that I am seeing is that everyone says the same thing such as copy a URL and paste here or there or paste to audio. None of this makes any sense to me.
Can someone please, I beg, please, take the time to explain everything step by step on how I can have music on my blog. beginning from me logging into my blog and going from there step by step on what I need to select next, input next, input it where, etc.
The is no step by step instructions on what to do and how to do it. The support on wordpress is very vague. It tells me in the audio category that I need to upload an mp3 file and link with an address they provide as an example. Like what on earth? Link to where? Where do I find the audio.
Please, someone give me step by step instructions!

same for me, I can not add music (mp3) even though I bought the required space upgrade. my site is edwardluby.wordpress.com. please give me step ny step instructions. I already have the files loaded to my MEDIA LIBRARY.

What is the URL of the file that you’ve uploaded?
Once you’ve uploaded it, click Insert in Post and it’ll go into the post. Then you can add the [audio URL] part around it and it’ll play.
