How to have author name/link to author website for a blog post?
-
Hi,
I just started a new site and am figuring out all the kinks, but I’ve encountered two problems:
1. When I post a blog, I have to type in my name because it won’t show a link/name on the entry that I’ve written it (it will be shared with a few other authors in the future, so it’s important to distinguish who is writing what). When I went to post a page, I saw at the bottom you can designate which author wrote it, but that didn’t seem to make a difference…
2. When I click on my icon in the sidebar under “authors”, it takes me to a page with my entries (obviously one entry at the moment) but no link to the profile I’ve created. Is there a different page you can access to your personal profile? How do I link that when people click on my author icon?
My site is http://chicagobrunchblog.wordpress.com
Thanks!

1. That’s because of the theme you’ve chosen: some themes display the author of a post, others don’t.
2. Your profile is where you set your personal general settings (e.g. interface language, nickname or avatar); it’s not meant to be accessible to others.
