How to have categories name on the main page of my blog?

    Hey friends,
    I’m a new user of WordPress and i’ve a problem since so many days.
    I would like names of categories be placed where the names of pages are placed on the main screen, for that when I click on the name, I come to the list of the different articles that I have write.

    Also, I do not really understand what the pages are, because you can’t insert categories or articles into it.

    Hi there, working your way through the https://learn.wordpress.com tutorial will help you learn more about how to work with your new site.

    What you are looking for are category pages added to a custom menu. Before they can be added to the menu bar, you need to publish at least one post in each category. After that, you can create the Custom menu following this guide: https://en.support.wordpress.com/category-pages/
