How to have “Home” show on page menu? Inuit Types
-
Hello,
I would like to have “Home” show as one of the pages on my page menu (which is across the top). I’m using Inuit Types. This is the site: http://solidgoldcreativity.com
Thanks in advance,

Hello there,
That can be done very easily. click Pages->Add New in the left menu to create a new static page. Do not give it a title and do NOTenter any content into it. In the title field copy and paste this link below and then click “Publish. That will do it.
<a href="http://solidgoldcreativity.com/">Home </a>
Happy blogging. :) -

You need to create a static page, which you can place as the first item using the “order” attribute in the right sidebar. You can then include a link as the page title:
Home <code>You need to include the space character after the word you want to appear otherwise this little trick won't work.

Oops it turned the link code into an actual link. Try this:
{a href=”http://solidgoldcreativity.com”}Home {/a}
but replace the curly braces with triangle brackets!

Even better: create a page, title it Home and in the slug, type “index-php”. That will make the button return to your Home Page.

Used your method and it worked a treat :) One tiny wee thing … I would like to force the order of my pages so “Home” shows up as number 1 in the list of pages, rather than “About me.”
Is this possible?
Many thanks,

When you use this trick that Panos discovered you have no assurance that Staff will not remove the ability to use it in the future because it’s not an intentional use > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/03/26/page-tabs-as-external-links/ If Staff implement the new “Edit Menu” menu in our Dashboards, then this workaround will no longer be necessary.
