How to have my blog in google?

    I followed the instructions from this link http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/07/why-isnt-my-blog-in-google/

    but when I ask Google to verify my blog I get this message:

    Verification status: NOT VERIFIED
    We’ve detected that your verification file returns a status of 404 (Not found) in the header.

    Can anyone please help me with this?

    Any help would be very much appreciated..

    Babaliciou5, yeah it did finally..I added my Url and I got this message:

    Your site URL has been successfully added to our list of URLs to crawl. Please note that we do not add all submitted URLs to our index, and we cannot make any predictions or guarantees about when or if they will appear.

    You may also be interested in Google webmaster tools, which shows you Google’s view of your site, helps you diagnose problems, and lets you share information with us to help improve your site’s visibility in our search results.

    That means it worked, am I right?

    Those words about predictions or guarantees are most important, and also sweet chummicans to be added to Google, say your blog is about Obama, well join the trillions of other blogs about Obummer-pardon I mean- Obama and they only rank the first three to ten million or so, but never mind YOU are there somewhere. I don’t mean to discourage you but if you think that being listed on the first 20 or 30 pages is at all automatic you will be disappointed, but you sa “mine is the best danged Obama article in blogdom” well it’s not me you have to convince. Take heart there are many many tricks and trannies and artifices at youur disposal and really this is a secret joy in blogging [like flogging yourself used to be a joy in medieval times]think of yourself as a tiny tiny ant at the feet of Goliath how are you going to attract his attention.
