How to Have Posts in Different Pages in WordPress
-
Hello Everyone,
I am trying to split out my posts between pages on my site, ideally i would like to have certain posts appear on the home page and a seperate page. I found a tutorial that showed me a way to assign categories to pages, then the categories to blog posts and that then should sort the posts to appear via those pages – but this has not worked for me. Has anyone come across this before?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @harrypowell10,
Thank you for your question, I can try and help you with setting up separate pages and your home page with blogs as per your liking.
1)For the separate page, it seems you just missed out on adding a menu item and assigning it the respective category. This would enable to match your blogs and the menu to the respective category. You can learn more about it here:
The complete process is described in details in this support document, which you might have already visited:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/category-pages/
2)For the Home page, you can take advantage of the front page options. You can set up another category page and set it up as your front-page. You can then select your category page on the Front Page to drop down and can also select posts page in the Posts Page drops down.
You could also set up a Frontpage and just display the posts you like by using display posts shortcodes, this would enable you to help with showing specific posts of your choice.
Hope this helps, let me know any further assistance.
Thanks!
