How to hide a category?

  My tech has had to make a new categoy (called “1”) to post some pics which will then show up as a link within a main post. is there any way i can hide this category? Thanks x

  What comes to mind is a custom menu widget where you put the categories as the links, then just don’t add category “1” to that menu. Then don’t use the category widget.

  Is there a reason the pics couldn’t be on a hidden page rather than on a post?
