how to "hide" a page ?

Hello. In my blog https://motsach87.wordpress.com I have pages in hierarchical. Some of them are for arranging purpose only (parent page). What i want to do is when people click on such parent page, no thing will happen. Only when they click on the child page then they are re-directed to a page. Thank you.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there. Typically all links in a menu have to go somewhere. Menu entries are essentially links to something. You could set up a custom menu and use a link instead of a page for your categories. But, even then the link has to go somewhere.

What you might want to try doing is just build out a simple page for each top level menu option. Add links to the child pages as desired. That way if they do click on a top level page, they’ll be sent somewhere meaningful and can navigate to the right child page from there.

    Hi stothek,

After thinking and exploring different themes, now I see it is better if I use Grid Page template for these parent pages. I will put simple quotes on these parent pages and beneath Grid Page template will help showing the child pages nicely.

But it lead to another issue : how to find themes with Grid Page template ? So far I come across only 4 themes : Sequential, Goran, Edin, Motif. They dont have a filter for Grid Page template in Theme Showcase.

You can create unclickable parent links in the menu by setting up a custom menu.

See this tutorial under the heading, “c. Submenu with non-linking top level tab” under “Other options, special cases and tricks”: https://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2011/12/19/custom-menus/
