How to hide a post from the homepage
-
Hi!
I’m creating a multilingual blog with with French, German and English content.
The blog is largely for an English speaking audience, so I have created two custom menus, one for the French content and one for the German content. These are pulling the content correctly.
However, when I create the German post and assign it to German language, it will appear on the main homepage and the same for the French content. So I will have three identical posts all in different languages appear.
I really like the ‘latest posts’ homepage and don’t want to change this.
Is there a way to hide certain posts from the homepage?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You could hide posts with a certain tag or category on the homepage with custom CSS.
For example, hide posts in the deutsch category from the homepage:
.home article.category-deutsch { display: none; }This will not rearrange the grid, however, so there will be gaps. A theme with more traditional vertical linear layout won’t have this issue.
