How to hide author with basic WordPress

  Hi all, I was wondering whether there’s any way at all of hiding the author of blog posts without having premium WordPress – I can’t use CSS or any advanced things as I only have the basic WordPress.com setup. Many thanks!

  There is no free means of removing the author from any theme that is designed to display it.

  Thanks – do you know of any themes that aren’t designed to display the author or give the option of hiding it?

  Many themes don’t display the author byline unless there is more than one official user on the site. I don’t have a list of them. Check here https://wordpress.com/themes/
