How to hide Blog main page?

    Just created my first web site and it’s coming along nicely. However, I have this Blog post section on the main page I cannot seem to get rid of or hide.

    Tried a number of Plugins (installed and activated). Read something about CSS changes, but it’s over my head. I’m not a developer.

    Help.
