How to hide certain posts from certain followers?

I have disabled the “follow” widget from my WordPress site, http://www.designaware.org because every time I published a post I wanted to share only with certain people by giving them a link to it (like a giveaway or tutorial for my email subscribers only, who may or may not be on WordPress), all my WordPress followers would be notified automatically, thus giving away the whole surprise.

    My questions:

1 After removing the follow option, do my existing followers still get notified about all my posts?

2 How can I remove my existing followers? I have 10 WordPress followers and 6 email followers through WordPress.

3 Is there a way to share only certain posts with followers, while still keeping the posts public and accessible to selected people through a link I provide?

    Thanks!

    1) Yes.

    2) You cannot.

    3) Do not make it a post. Make it a Page, and use a custom menu to exclude it from your public list of pages and/or tabbed header. Then email the link to them. Or make it password-protected and only give those particular followers the password.

Thank you for answering. So if I make it a page, my followers do not receive a notification that I’ve published a new page?
