How can I hide comments?

  on my website there are a number of comments mad eon various pages. I have gone through all the articles and figured out how to disable future commenting, but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to simply hide the ones I already have/disable the comment box. In short, I don’t want people to be able to leave comments on my page. How do I do that?

  You can disable the comments on previously published pages or posts quickly by using the bulk edit feature:

  • Go to your Posts Screen (Dashboard > Posts)
  • Select all the posts using the checkboxes on the left
  • Go to the Bulk Actions list, select Edit, and click the Apply button
  • You will see the options that are available for bulk editing
  • Select the Comments menu, then ‘Do Not Allow’
  • Click the Update button

  You can also do this for any pages you have published – just substitued ‘pages’ for ‘posts’ in the instructions above.

  Thanks- that helped me get rid of all the comment boxes. However, I still have all the comments that were made previously on the pages. Is there a way to hide them, or is the only way to get rid of them to delete them?

  The only way to get rid of those would be to delete or unapprove the comments. You can do this in your site’s Dashboard.
