HOW TO HIDE FROM SEARCH ENGINE ON PRIVATE?

    Kindly advice what setting should i use to prevent search engine display my photos in this blog while keeping my setting as Privacy? Currently i am under Privacy setting but when i type my name in the search engine, this Blog pictures will pop up although visitor cannot enter the site.

    Correct account: Yes

    Hello there,

    It is very likely that Google has already indexed some of the content from the site.

    To prevent search engines from indexing this site, enable “Discourage search engines from indexing this site” in the Privacy option.

    The private option in the privacy setting does not give you immunity to not be indexed by search engine bots.

    @ernieishere if you want your blog private, do NOT do as @amiteshg93 has suggested! If you change from “Private” to “Discourage Search Engines”, then your blog may well end up indexed, because the “discourage” is only a polite request (not all search engines will obey) and that option also makes your blog public, and your posts will appear in the Reader, and other places. With a “Private” blog, your posts cannot be seen by anyone, unless you give them access. Did you have your blog set as “Public” at some point, because that is the only way that Google could have found your images.
