How to hide images in the reader?

  How do I hide images on my posts in the reader? I already put the images under the ‘read more’ cut but they still show up in the reader preview.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  How do I hide images on my posts in the reader?

  Disabling images for posts in the Reader isn’t currently supported. The Reader automatically displays images from within your posts — regardless of where in the post they appear.

  Any images over 350px wide will be used. If the image in the post is less than 350 pixels, it’ll be skipped.

  Out of curiosity, can I ask why you want to hide images on your posts in the Reader?

  I post spoiler images under a read more cut so I don’t want them to show up in the reader. I asked a friend and turns out it’s because I used the featured image option, images under the cut would show up in the reader.

  I asked a friend and turns out it’s because I used the featured image option, images under the cut would show up in the reader.

  There are a couple of workarounds if you want to post spoiler images:

  1. Add images to your post at a size smaller than 350px. Images smaller than 350px are not displayed in the Reader.

  2. Link to the image rather than displaying it in your post:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/links/image-links/

  I know this may not have the same visual impact, but it would mean the images won’t be displayed in the Reader.

  I’ve mentioned this to a member of the team though — it’s useful feedback to have.
