how to hide old posts

    how do i hide old posts. Atm some of my older posts can be found when you scroll down and press the plus button. I would like more old posts to be in this section

    Controlling the number of posts that appear on the front page or page for posts is possible. Dashboard > Settings > Reading
    Blog pages show at most __ posts

    When you publish a post that post is automatically displayed on the dynamic Archives page(s) in the exact same reverse chronological order as it appears on the front page of the blog, or the page for posts if you have set a static front page.

    re: sticky posts
    You can mark some posts as Sticky to make them appear above the other posts. They will stay at the top of your posts until you uncheck that option on the Edit screen for that post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/
