How to hide the title?

  • Unknown's avatar

    I have been looking through forum posts, other websites, and WP help topics, and I can’t find a way to remove the title/tag from showing on my new blog. I am aiming to have a simple, clean, white layout with a customized title header. Currently I have settled on the “Clean Home” theme, which does not provide the option to hide title/tag text.

    Could anyone help me with CSS code or a better theme recommendation? I’d also love to make the header image a clickable link if possible…

    Are such alterations doable with a free WP theme, or am I daydreaming here?

    Thank you in advance!!!

    @amaroticoa, again, just like I said in the other thread, we need a link to the blog you are talking about. The one linked to your username is not wearing Clean Home.

    OK, I switched one of my test blogs to Clean Home. Here is what you add to your CSS to hide the title and tagline.

    #logo h1 a, #logo h2 {
    display: none;
    }

    Your header image should go into #logo, and you should probably declare a width and height that matches the header image. The wrapper is 900px wide, but you have 30px of left and right padding, so you should make your header image 900px – 60px = 840px so it aligns with the edges of the content and sidebar.

    I had the exact same question–thank you “thesacredpath”, your fix worked perfectly! :-)
