How to I change from Drupal to WordPress while retaining my domain?
-
Hello,
I have my website + domain from Amazon Web services.
I want to start afresh using the same domain but now with WordPress. I do not need any of the content from the old site.
I want to keep using the provider (AWS) and my purchased domain (+instance). There are resources on AWS on how to start a WP instance:
https://aws.amazon.com/getting-started/tutorials/launch-a-wordpress-website/
But I couldn’t find one that explains like the guide above how to change an existing domain to WP.
Can someone point to me a resource with the steps how to do so? Most resources I’ve found offer migration plugins etc, but this is not what I am looking for.
Further questions:
What happens to the Drupal files on that instance?
Do I need to map my domain? Why/why not?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
