How to I change my name?

  I have changed my username and display name, supposedly, but I still see my first and last name under the wordpress logo, in my Windows tab, and in the top left in the black bar. I wish to remove my surname for privacy. How do I do that?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  That’s the title of your BLOG. Change it under Settings->General.

  Thanks. I have under Settings: account, password, security, public profile, notifications, and billing history… I don’t see a general, nowhere where I can change the blog name… Is that because it’s a free blog spot?

  No, you need to be on the dashboard of the blog, then Settings. It sounds like you’re on the global dashboard.
