How to I change post permalink wording to default
-
I changed the wording only on some of my permalinks to my posts after they were published. Should I change them back and how do I do this?
I do not seem to be having a problem as when I click on posts it goes to correct post. Should I change the permalinks back to original wording to avoid future problems? I did not change the permalink structure just the wording. My blog is mariabrinkley.com Thank you, Maria BrinkleyThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Maria,
I’m a bit confused. If you are not having a problem with going to the correct post you should be fine as is. I checked the first few posts and it looks like everything is good to go.
If you want to edit it, click on the edit link and you will see this:

Dear Grace,
Thanks for your reply and sorry about the confusion!
I changed the wording on some permalinks AFTER I published the post. Then I read that this could cause visitors to my blog getting 404 page not found error messages.
However, as you say, my posts seem to be fine.
Is there any way I can see statistics for 404 error messages on my blog?
Thanks for your help.

Hi Maria,
If they go to the old permalink then they will get an error. I would just leave it as is and remember to share the new link instead of the old.
Cheers!

Thanks Grace,
Not sure what you mean by share the new link instead of the old link. Do I have to do anything?
Thanks,
Maria

Nope you don’t have to do anything. Only if you are giving out the link to people, please give them the new link not the old.
