  how to I edit the email my followers receive

  I don’t believe that option is available.

  https://ftdtales.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php does allow to you edit the email text that someone receives when they follow your blog.

  Thank you for your reply. I noticed that when my followers receive an email from a new blog post it contains the entire post plus the author name which is my first and last name.

  I’d like to remain anonymous as much as possible, and I want people to click on my blog, not read in email!

  Just to confirm, no way to change either of those things? Where is this email generated? The template text has to exist somewhere, correct? Im very new to this, and a bit frustrated. Thank you again for your help :)

  You could try to craft your user entry at https://ftdtales.wordpress.com/wp-admin/users.php and perhaps you can shield your identity somewhat. You would have to experiment a little to see if it meets your expectations. It may not, however.

  I don’t believe you have access to editing the email template. Some options are limited when you use WordPress.com.
