Hello, Rachel!
It looks like your WordPress site is off to a great start!
After doing some digging, I’m not certain if it’s possible to remove the image from the theme. If I’m wrong on this, I hope someone else will call me out on it. If you are a WordPress Premium user, then you could remove the image for sure using CSS customization. However, assuming that you don’t have a Premium subscription, and if it is indeed impossible to remove the image completely, it appears that the image is your WordPress profile image, which can be changed most easily with Gravatar. It could look really professional if you were to make it an image of yourself, or if you really just want the image to go away, then you could just upload an image that is just a solid color, the same as your background color, which appears to have a hexadecimal code of #F0B49E.
Does that help?

It looks like you’re no longer using Independent Publisher on the site linked above, so I’m not sure which image you were trying to remove. If you still need help, just let me know.

I believe the blogger may be referring to the gravatar logo image found on the Independent Publisher theme.
