How to I get rid of an unwanted incoming link?
-
I put up a post on a serious topic and noticed on my stats page that there’s an incoming link. When I clicked on it, I was taken to a site that is just a bunch of quackery. Are THEY (the quack factory) sending people to my blog?
-
Apparently. You can’t stop other people from linking to you any more than you can prevent people from pointing at you in the street. If there is a trackback in the comment section of your blog and you don’t like the site it came from, you can just delete it.

What about when an unwanted incoming link leads to a bunch of spam? Surely there has to be a way to prevent / delete / block this kind of thing?

Thanks for the info. Maybe people referred to my site by the quacks will get some real information. I’ve noticed this incoming link also shows up on other valid sites so I think they’re just out to promote themselves and look more legit.

Even though your link is on other crappy site, your ranking in Google will increase, so i think its beneficial to you. Though i dont think so there is any thing which can stop such incoming links.
