How to I move a post to the correct authors archive?

  A post was moved from the correct authors archive to a new authors archive and the byline was given to the new author. How can I change this back so that the post is moved to the correct authors archive and they get the byline for it?

  You can just Edit the post and change the author in the sidebar on the right-hand side.

  I wish I could!!! I have a theme that places the writers name and the date the article was published at the top of the Post just below the title. It was in the original writers archive for a week then sashayed on over to a different writer. And evidently this changed the byline also. ???
