How to import a word doc from computer?

  I have a large word doc i’d like to add to my page. Is there a different way of doing this besides copy/paste?

  Note .doc, .docx (Microsoft Word Document) is an accepted file type for uploading. Please see http://en.support.wordpress.com/accepted-filetypes/ and http://en.support.wordpress.com/uploading-documents/

  If you want to embed the document itself into a post or a page, you will have to use a third party application like Scribd or Google Docs. Otherwise, the documents will appear as a download link.
