How to import a Word Document onto a new page?

  I am trying to import a word document onto a new page, it wont work. I dont want the link for the document, I want the actual document on my page, as my page rather. How do I do this? I have tried turning it into a PDF and it still just gives me a link. Its a document from Word with text and pictures.

  Hi there, you have a couple of options.

  You can use the Paste from Word button in the editor to paste the content from the document, preserving some of the formatting but stripping out any problematic code that may interfere with the page display in WordPress.

  You could also try Scribd to embed the document.

  Hello, thanks for your help. Neither seems to work. Its actually a docx file and I’ve converted it to a pdf and doc and it still wont work. It just downloads the file for the reader, which I dont want. And sribd wont upload the file as it says there is copy right infringement…. Ugh.
  Any other advice??

  Hi Kelly, you could try contacting Scrib support to find out why it’s triggering that copyright infringement warning.

  When you try to paste the content using the “Paste from Word” button, could you let me know what happens exactly?

  Inside the past from word box the document loads correctly, however when I click enter, the page remains blank and when I go to preview there is nothing there but a tiny blue box with a question mark in the middle.
  Is it due to the program I am using? Its word, but its a brochure template, so there are colored text boxes and photos with the text.

  Thanks for explaining – yes, that would definitely account for what you’re describing. Only text from Word can be pasted into the editor. The editor is not designed to carry over any graphic layouts from Word.

  Have you considered creating a JPEG file that can then be inserted into the post?

  Thats what I thought. I tried to make a jpeg but it wouldnt really work, too blurry. I will just have to recreate it from scratch.
