How to import from word?

Hi gurus
I have my Family ‘blog’ in a Word document. Is there a smart way of importing that on wordpress.com. I have placed the Pictures in the document to. If I copy and paste into an editor, the Pictures dissapears.
I would like to make subpages for each year. 2011,12,13 and 14.. I would prefer to import the Whole document as one, or in four imports.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You don’t and can’t import from WORD because Microsoft WORD is not web compliant. It’s a word processor and that’s all it is. It’s not a blog editor. There is no connection between a word processing program on your computer and your blog.
Yes the images disappear when you attempt to copy and paste because they are not hosted on any server on the internet, and will not be unless or until you upload them into your blog. Then they will be on WordPress.com servers and available in your Media Library.
Microsoft Word is a word processing program that’s not compliant with web standards. The result of copy and pasting from Microsoft Word into the Tiny MCE editor in WordPress blogs can be unexpected, and contain a lot of formatting code that’s not compliant unless you know how to use the built-in features in the Visual editor for using Word cleanly.
