How to import old data from older version to new version?

  I just upgraded from an older version of WP and have now downloaded the new version. However, after looking around fairly extensively, I cannot find instrucitons on how to import posts/settings/etc., from the older version to the new. Is this even possible??

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Thank you. Now I’m more confused – lol! My original blog was done by someone else, and I don’t really know where to go from here. My old web address is http://www.merrymauiweddings.com/blog/. What do you suggest I do to start using the upgraded version? I have noticed that I get many, many spammers registering on my old blog, and would definitely like to be rid of it, or upgrade it. I do work on my own website, but don’t really know about how to best deal with this change from the old to the new. Is there an easy way? Could you please help? It would be most appreciated!
