How to import PDF files from Illustrator and Indesign onto my weblog site?
-
I am trying to upload my graphic design work onto my wordpress site so I can create an online portfolio. I am trying to import files from Illustrator and InDesign by posting them as a blog. When I import them, they are not in instantly in view on my webpage, only they appear as links highlighted in blue. I don’t know CSS or HTML, so I’m unfamiliar at working with codes.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

PDF’s cannot be viewed directly on a blog here since there is no online PDF viewer. There is scribd which can be used, but it is going to make things small and introduces an additional level of complexity, but you can check it out.

I have a couple suggestions:
1. Turn them into either jpgs or png images and then insert them into the page or portfolio page as either thumbnails or medium sized images and then the visitor can click on them to see the full-sized image.
2. Create small images off the PDF’s, upload the PDF’s and then use the image you create off that PDF as an image link to the PDF and let the PDF open in the visitor’s browser via Adobe Reader or some other PDF viewer.

You can also use Embedit.
It makes pdf embeds easy and also it creates thumbnails of your pdfs automatically.View an example in a wordpress.com blog here:
