how to import text from “my documents”?

Hi All,
I’m very new to wordpress and not very tech savvy. I did a search of the forums and got nothing related, or nothing that I could understand as related to my question. I would like to create a new page and then be able to import text documents from my own computer. Is that possible? I would be grateful for your help.

You can’t import .txt documents into a WordPress.com blog. Here is a list of accepted file types.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/accepted-filetypes/Or do you mean that you would like to copy text that you’ve written in text documents into the content area for WordPress.com posts and pages?

Oh thank you, you *did engineer my happiness on this one! Your link takes me to not only the filetypes page but a description of how to accomplish the “upload. I will work with their directions and see if I can accomplish what I want. Thanks again.

Back again – I found the scribd link that will allow uploading of text. Thanks again for the initial help. That let me find the rest.
