How to include an email link in wordpress.com

Add topic to favorites
I have tried tu include ‘mailto:(email visible only to moderators and staff)’, for example, but it doesn’t work. How may I include this link and that it works properly? Thank you in advance.

Hi there,

Where exactly on your site are you trying to add that link?

If you are trying to add it to a post or a page, open the editor, click on the HTML tab at the top, and paste the code @timethief gave you where you want the link to appear.

If you do that and it’s not working, please give a link to the page where you added the email link so I can take a look.

I’m trying to link a “Reserva tu lugar” bottom. But I also want to learn how to use it in other pages, because I had the same problem. It’s easy to include a link to a website. Why is it difficult to add a link to an email address?

Okay. To add it to a button, edit the page and make sure you’re in the Visual tab of the editor.

Click on the image to select it. Then click the link icon in the editor toolbar. Paste in the mailto link, and update the page:

If you switch to the HTML tab, it should look like this when you’re done:

<a href="mailto:(email visible only to moderators and staff)"><img class="wp-image-2752 aligncenter" src="https://albaraffaelli.files.wordpress.com/2017/03/reservar.jpg" alt="RESERVAR" width="255" height="77" /></a>

Just replace the email with your actual email address, and it should work.

De cualquier forma, agradezco tu tiempo y dedicación. De momento lo solucioné agregando un Contact Form. Pero igual quisiera saber qué es lo que no me está permitiendo colocar este link como tú me lo explicas.

Hello –

Did you copy + paste the html section that kokkieh shared? html is very specific so if there is an extra character, or space, it will not work correctly.
