Add topic to favorites
I cannot figure out how to include my List.ly lists into my blog http://lisasnewyork.wordpress.com/

1) I have read: https://wordpress.org/plugins/listly/installation/ – but realized it’s a different btw .org and .com
2) read through your forum, but no one seems to find the answer
3) I’ve watched List.ly’s how-to movie, but this does not involve wordpress.com http://support.list.ly/kb/embedding-lists-on-your-blog-website/customizing-and-embedding-lists-on-wordpress-self-hosted

Yes, you’re right, WordPress.com doesn’t have a List.ly plugin yet. You could request one in the Ideas forum –

For the time being though, here’s a quick workaround.

1) Grab a WordPress.com text widget –

http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/text-widget/

2) Place list.ly’s normal embed code in it –

http://support.list.ly/kb/embedding-lists-on-your-blog-website/getting-embed-code-for-a-list

The list.ly widget should show up just fine on your sidebar thereafter.

But I still can’t get this to work :( Have tried to paste in all the different embeded codes, but no one seems to be working. The link does not seem to work.

Hmm… i might just have to wait for the plugin (which I now have suggested).

What are the actual embed codes? Paste them here between CODE tags so we can look at them.

If the plugin just makes lists, what is preventing you from just copy-pasting them?

For WordPress WITH plugin:

Sorry about not catching that earlier! For security reasons, WordPress.com doesn't allow you to embed external scripts on your blog. So yes, as you say, I guess your best bet is to wait for a list.ly embed to be made available by WordPress.com itself.

Er, I messed up the code tag above, but basically this is where you’re at –

For security reasons, WordPress.com doesn’t allow you to embed external scripts on your blog. So yes, as you say, I guess your best bet is to wait for a list.ly embed to be made available by WordPress.com itself.

Or simply copy paste the actual list, provided you do not need it to be dynamic.
