How to include the Edit Page in a theme.
-
I am making my self a custom theme and can’t get the code that I add to the “Edit Page” editor to actually show on the page. I am guessing that it would be something similar to the code used to get the header file, “<? php get_header?>”.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The part saying “The blog I need help with is abdud1.wordpress.com.” was automatically added, that is not the site I am talking about.

Uploading Custom Themes or Third Party Themes
http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/adding-new-themes/You require a Business plan to upload custom themes or third party themes.
Otherwise you can use these themes https://wordpress.com/themes/
We have 4 different plans: free, personal, premium and business. All hosting is free regardless of which plan you choose. You can view all wordpress.com plan features here https://wordpress.com/pricing/ Add a plan for each of your sites here: http://store.wordpress.com/plans/.
The Business upgrade includes:
• Google analytics
• Footer Credit Options https://en.support.wordpress.com/footer-credits/
• SEO Tools https://en.support.wordpress.com/seo-tools/
• The ability to install most plugins including woocommerce and the ability to install third party themes. Please read this support doc: https://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/
You could be confusing wordpress.COM hosted sites and wordpress.ORG self hosted sites. WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you require plugins and/or Custom Themes or Third Party Themes and do not wish to purchase a Business Plan see: Moving to Self-Hosted WordPress http://move.wordpress.com

Posting the URL of the actual site referred to is a basic requirement on any support forum, as that is the only way to get an accurate response to any support issue.
If that site is not on wordpress.COM servers then you are posting to the wrong support forum. We do not provide support for any sites that are not hosted by wordpress.COM here.

P.S. if you are referring to a site hosted by wordpress.COM then read what follows
Does Customize let me edit HTML?
No. Customize allows you to edit fonts, colors, and CSS only. You can change the appearance of a theme, but not its HTML markup or PHP code. If you require this functionality, please consider moving your blog to a web host that supports theme code modifications. You can read more about why here http://support.wordpress.com/code/, and find a suitable host here http://get.wp.com/hosting/.
