How to increase speed on loading web-page

  We have many photos on the website on another hosting company. We would like to optimize the speed on loading the web-page. May I know what can I do to optimize the speed?

  But first a pair of questions:
  Do you have a website that is hosted on WordPress.com but uses images hosted on another server?
  Or your whole website is hosted not on WordPress.com?
