How to increase the size of a static box

I’m trying to increase the size of my follow button, and the size of my the box that my twitter handle is displayed in on my right sidebar. However, when I inspect the theme’s CSS for these items it says that the size of the box is static. So when I increase the size of the text it just gets bigger and disappears because the size of the box doesn’t change with it.
Is there a way that I can get around this?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That follow button widget is pretty restrictive, because it was originally designed as a button to add to other sites:
You might prefer to use the Follow Blog widget:

The button there is much more customizable in terms of size.
