How to insert google analytics
-
Hi,
I need help inserting google analytics for my blog. The site that needs help is http://thepetite.co
I have looked everywhere for hours but all I can find is information for WordPress.org. I have just purchased my domain with WordPress for $129 and I’m already regretting it. Seems like all the guides are for WordPress.org
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I need help inserting google analytics for my blog.
Google Analytics support on WordPress.com is available as a feature of the WordPress.com Business plan. Visit Settings → Analytics under My Sites to enable Google Analytics.

You don’t have the business plan, do you? The $300 a year one?
You won’t have access to plugins. They’re for WordPress.ORG blogs, not WordPress.COM blogs.
There IS a workaround for Google Analytics but it’s fiddly and I’m not 100% sure it still works. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/you-can-run-google-analytics-on-a-wordpresscom-blog-heres-how?replies=1

@raincoaster yes, I’m aware of that. Now I am considering to transfer.
Can I ask if you know about using Blue Host and installing WordPress makes the blog a WordPress.COM blog or WordPress.ORG blog? And if I require at least a premium plan to run the domain in WordPress?
I am still unclear how to differentiate the COM and ORG blogs. If I register my blog as the petite.org does that make my blog an ORG blog?
Thanks in advance!

If you are hosted here, you are a WordPress.com blog. If you are not, you are using software from WordPress.ORG.
You can map a domain to a blog here for the $17 a year domain mapping. You do not need upgrade bundles.
Changing a domain name does not make your blog not-a-wordpress.com blog.

Unfortunately I can’t find Analytics anywhere in the setting or any other navigation menu. And I’m using the premium plan.
You need the Businnes, plan, as I told you:

@raincoaster I see.. I’ve gotten on the wrong foot. I thought by upgrading with wordpress I will be able to use the domain name without any hassle of transferring all my content to Blue Host.. I’m not sure if I cancel my plan now they’d refund me my money…

YOU DO NOT NEED TO CANCEL.
You can either pay the $300 upgrade OR you can use the workaround I gave you.
OR you can transfer everything to Bluehost. THree options.
IF you bought the bundle within 30 days they will refund all but the domain and you want to keep the domain for when/if you move.
