how to Insert html meta tag in my website for affiliate business

  I am applying for affiliate business through my website. the affiliateship program has asked me following actions: –

  To verify your site, you will need to use one of the two methods described below. Once you have completed method 1 OR method 2, please click “Verify Site” to complete the process.

  Method 1: HTML Meta Tag

  Insert the following tag into the head section of the index file at:
  http://oceaninvitesyou.com/

  <meta name=”verification” content=…………………….” /> (I have hidden the actual tag here)

  Method 2: HTML Verification File

  You must have access to the root of your domain to use file based verification.

  Download this HTML verification file [………………………….] and upload to http://oceaninvitesyou.com/
  Confirm success by visiting http://oceaninvitesyou.com/……………..html

  Once you have completed one of these methods, please click the Verify Site button.

  What is possible? Method 1 or method 2? How can these be done.

  Neither method is possible at WordPress.COM. Also you need to be careful with affiliate links to keep from having your blog suspended
