how to insert logo in the site title input area

I’m new and embarrassed to ask but I’ve been looking forever and can’t seem to find the solution out. Please help – I’m looking to insert a logo in the input area “site title”. I was some tutorials on youtube that show a button below to insert an image but I don’t have that on my dashboard and others show inserting code (scary). I know this must have been asked years ago and there must be a simple plugin or something easy that I just can’t see for some reason.
Any help is greatly appreciated!!! -

You cannot do that on a wordpress.COM hosted blog like https://erwpfp.wordpress.com/

The tutorials you refer to are for only WordPress.ORG software installs, not for wordpress.COM blogs like https://erwpfp.wordpress.com/.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you are referring to a wordpress.ORG sofware install and you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.

Sorry – I don’t think I put this question in the right category. I have a theme and am hosting it.I’m learning WP as I go and all I’ve done is install the theme. I’ve been searching for an answer but I’m going nuts looking. My first task was to insert a logo and I’ve already hit a brick wall at that.

I checked the support link but my dashboard site title area doesn’t have an “insert logo” button for some reason?…not sure why. It only has site title and tag line.
