How to insert PDF thumbnail that can download

  Hi! I would like to insert a downloadable PDF document on a page of my site.

  I don’t want it to download automatically when they arrive at the page, but instead only if they click on a thumbnail of the PDF.

  I have managed to add the PDF to my media library, but when I try inserting it (as I would a photo), it appears as a hyperlink rather than as a thumbnail.

  Any ideas on how to get the thumbnail?
