How to insert programming code in post?

  I tryed tag but it looks in post preview like nothing but code. Is there anything better on wordpress.com than inserting code as picture?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I see here the code tag have worked sligtly better :). But the question still remaines – how to insert nice formatted programming code into the post?
