How to install a theme I downloaded?

Hello, I am not a complete illiterate ghost from the XIX century, and yet, I cannot seem to install a theme I downloaded, because the install theme button doesn’t show on my dashboard.
I tried logging out and back in, I tried the various shortcuts to try and make that button show, to no luck.
I am on a Macbook pro, running mac os x 10.6.8 and using mostly firefox
Any help would be much appreciated.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Themes can’t be uploaded to blogs hosted on WordPress.com. They can only be uploaded to self-hosted blogs running on WordPress.org software. You can read more about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org here:

Although I am investigating, for now I definitely do not know how to do this hosting business, so I would like to use the easiest possible tool to have everything taken care of, and I gathered that the easiest way to do that is through wordpress.org,
However, I would like to keep the domain name I just got through wordpress.com, thus my question about switching.Thank you

Yes! You can do this as well. All you would need to do is update the nameservers to your new host by going to Store > My Domains > Edit Domain > Nameservers.
